Any recommendations for Cabins/Chalets in Gatlinburg?

Ok, I have read a lot of opinions on this trip advisor. I am a little confused. Five people will like a cabin/chalet company and then there will be one or two horror stories...

We love the mountains and this would be our first trip to Tennessee. We want something reallyn nice, and clean. We are planning on driving from Tampa, Floida with our kids 11 %26amp; 16 for a long weekend maybe before Thanksgiving Some of these pictures of cabins have absolutely breathtaking views with windows from floor to ceiling. That is what we are looking for with a hot tub too.

Please help....all advice is greatly appreciated.

Any recommendations for Cabins/Chalets in Gatlinburg?

I am not really sure why there are so many varied reports within the same rental company.

Timber Tops just had a review based on it not being clean and bad customer service but a few months ago another poster had only wonderful reviews.

Maybe some of the problem getting different reviews on dif. rental companies may be based on the fact that they offer hundreds of properties and you can get something brand new (as we did) or the property may have been built in the 70%26#39;s and not have been updated.

We rented through Jackson Mountain Homes and ours was brand new as of June. So, the cabin was represented exactly as it was. It was even better...that one would be too big for you since it was a 4 bedroom. But, it was gorgeous with a wonderful view to go with it.

They do have some new smaller cabins that are new, too. I would rent from them again.

Lots of cabins are being constantly updated.

My daughter has stayed in two older cabins through a different rental company that were beautiful..they were two bedroom cabins.

I would assume you are looking for a three bedroom. (??)

We%26#39;re going around the same time so it will be to late for my ';review'; when we get back. We booked it just from the website, which is a little scary since nobody seems to know anything about it! At this point I really dont care I just want to go somewhere they dont have hurricanes!!!!

Are you going to drive straight to Gatlinburg or do you plan on stopping? if so, any recommenations?

GG66 You are only 9 1/2 to 10 hrs from gatlinburg. easy drive 95 to 26 to 40 and then 321 down to gatlinburg. we have made the drive from oviedo several times. I have been through atlanta and cherokee to gatlinburg also through atlanta to chattanooga to gatlinburg nothing quicker than 95. enjoy you trip.

We rented ';Back To Nature'; through Jackson Mountain Homes and the cabin was just beautiful. Almost as nice as the view. My 20 something kids all said the cabin itself was worth the drive from Florida.

Try Majestic Mountain Vacations, most of their cabins are new. I see the posting police are out again, I hope this post makes it.
