Dec 17 - 21 Anniversary trip ... ideas?

Hi... my husband and I are going to Gatlinburg for 16th Anniversary. NO KIDS. We have been before, but always doing kid activities.. amusment parks, go carts, haunted houses, etc. We are really looking foward to getting to enjoy the views and attractions at our own pace. I am sure there are many things to do there that we are not aware of. In the past it was all kid oriented. I would love suggestions for indoor/outdoor attractions for the two of us. I don%26#39;t want to go to Acquarium or Haunted houses this year. Probably within an hour or so drive from Gatlinburg area. Thank you for any suggestions.

Make rervations at the Foothills Milling Company in Wears Valley. They have outstanding food, and exceptional service. You should make reservations a week or two in advance. Very expensive, but worth it!

Another great place for couples to dine is the Greenbriar restaraunt.

You might try going to the Sweet Fanny Adams Theator. This is British style review that is really adult style humor.

Of coures Harrahs casino is in Cherokee if you feel like winning (or losing) some cash! You might also be interested in visiting the Smoky Mountain Brewery, good food, microbrews, and live music on weekends.

How far is Wears Valley and what general direction? I read a few posts about the Greenbriar Restaurant... adding it to list. Thank you for the suggestions.

We go to this area each year in the fall. We just got back last week, our 24th anniversary.

We have stayed in all types and seen all types. Check out the Pigeon Forge Forum for my posted favorite cabins(All Seasons Cabins) and perfect twosome ideas under';first time visitor';. We leave the children and grandchildren behind cause this is our time. We now always stay in cabins 5 minutes from the Parkway of PF traffic light 3 which is Wears Valley Road(321 South)that goes to Townsend(where Cades Cove is)a beautiful drive down the Mountains. The cabins are close enough for us to venture out to Gatlinburg(10 minutes away) or the shows and shops of the busy parkway of PF then go back to rest and relax by the fire or in the hot tub of our private cabin in the woods. No hard climbs to the cabin should the weather start to turn to snow or ice. Call the owners,Julie and Jay at All Seasons Cabins for unbelievable rates and s personable service.(www.allseasons.com). Have a wonderful anniversary.

Let me correct the Web site for All Seasons Cabins in Pigeon Forge: www.allseasonscabins.com.
